It is with great joy that we announce the publication of the second graphic novel by the Octopus Foundation.

“La Signora di Lampedusa”, 60 pages drawn by Antoine Bugeon and co-written with Julien Pfyffer, was printed in 1000 copies after several years of work. The story takes the reader on a journey between Greece, France and Italy to try to better understand the state of knowledge on this extraordinary marine reptile. The path ends on the island of Lampedusa where the biologist Daniela Freggi and her army of volunteers save every year hundreds of turtles accidentally caught by fishermen.

At the moment, the book has only been printed in Italian, because we wanted a significant part of the revenues to directly benefit the Lampedusa Turtle Rescue. For the lucky ones (who speak Italian), it will soon be possible to order a copy on the rescue centre’s website. We will keep you posted.

In the meantime, the first graphic novel by the Octopus Foundation, “Les Portes de l’Enfer”, was published in 2016 in French and is still available for sale on our website.
