Extract: “Archaeological excavations of exceptional nature have just been completed off La Tène. Three shipwrecks from different eras, spotted through airship overflights and diving, were the subject of scientific explorations between April 2019 and end of September 2020.
“These wrecks were particularly exposed to degradation due to erosion and intense navigation in this area of the lake. They required intervention to ensure their safeguard, ”explains Sonia Wüthrich, cantonal archaeologist.”
